I have always been in an obsessive search for a creative outlet. Whether it was filmmaking, writing, or ultimately photography, I’ve always been in a perpetual search for that unique and original creative edge.
My work consists of color and B&W photography and photo/mixed media exclusively of models in a studio environment. The photographs gain attention initially through their sensuality and ultimately through their creative and artistic nuances. My high concept images explore traditional beauty and fashion genres such as semi-nudes, studio work and conventional portraiture. The sarcastic titles and perceived urgency of the images combine to deliver a satirical commentary on modern-day glamour and fine art photography.
One of the primary objectives of my work is to present experimental images with a unique, eclectic, and witty look to an otherwise traditional subject matter. Through simple photographic techniques, I gain the satisfaction of nurturing an image from conception to completion. I have always attempted to "celebrate" women and their images. I consider my work concept glamour in a slick, seductive and contemporary style. To me, the sensuality is secondary to the artistic concept. Glamour and beauty is merely an attention-getting, stylized vehicles to present my vision of beauty, portraiture and experimental photography.
Over the past twenty years I have exhibited my work extensively throughout alternative venues in Southwestern Connecticut such as restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
