UPDATE: MARCH 2015
Wow! It's been a while. But my interests are still largely the same. I would love to be more involved in co-creating visual art and photography pieces, especially as part of bigger storytelling or community projects. The themes I want to explore include identity, sexuality, gender, race, the politicised body, the radical erotic, liminality, what it means to never quite fit one way or another. I'm slightly less interested in shoots whose aim is mostly a pretty face/body, but if it's a great artist I'd love to see what you make of me.
I spend almost all my time in San Francisco-Oakland-Berkeley and have a pretty flexible schedule.
Everything I have done in my life has been part of my effort to carve a space for someone like me: someone who doesn't fit any box and would rather live outside labels. I fight for my identities to be recognised and respected so that others don't have to.
Currently my main background is in creative production, particularly events, performance, and media. With my work (whether self-directed or in collaboration) I often tackle issues of being a queer female migrant minority, looking at the intersections of race, gender, sexuality, and other identity politics.
