Greetings mayhemers! I'm Demolita, but YOU can call me Demmy, you special thing.
I've been modelling inconsistently for local photographers since early 2006, and performing as a musician for over 13 years.
My speciality is portraiture, and I'm happy to do it if your heart is set on it, but I'm also looking to branch out and do some more full-body shots.
I am mostly interested in (but not limited to):
- Goth/Macabre
- Alternative/Dark
- Horror/Gore
- Lolita/doll
- Period/Theatrical
- High fashion/Glamour
- Bizarre/Fantasy
- Conceptual
- Vintage
- Classic/Hollywood
- Promotional (not interested in promotional work in a blank white studio though -I would rather have props and an interesting location to work with. It's better to create a photo that fabricates a story AND sells your product, than one that just places your product against a white background.)
I do not currently do nudes/fetish/erotica.
If you have any ideas for imaginative photoshoots, do share. I crave originality in photography and art.
Modelling is not a vanity project for me - I don't think I'm beautiful in the slightest. I model to have some kind of control over the aesthetic, to evoke something in those who see the produced photographs.
Although photoshoots are fun, I no longer shoot just because you've got a new flash or we both have the weekend free. I'm interested in a solid, original concept that both photographer and model (or anyone else involved in the shoot) can be proud of. But this doesn't mean that you have to think it all out yourself and present it to me! If you're lost for a photoshoot, contact me and we can brainstorm. I adore coming up with new styles and locations for shoots.
I'm professional and passionate about photoshoots. I am always punctual and polite, and am currently doing TFP/CD shoots because I want to expand and strengthen my portfolio - if you think you're the photographer/MUA/wardrobe stylist/clothing designer to help with this then please drop me a line!
I am very capable doing my own hair and makeup, however I think some of the best photographs are created through a team effort. That said, I can easily work with other models, MUAs, stylists and designers. I would love to work for local clothing or accessory designers because I support Melbourne alternative fashion.
I am comfortable both in and out of the studio, with or without props. I have an extensive wardrobe and am willing to buy or make clothing and accessories for photoshoots, depending on the expense and time required. Whatever it takes to achieve the look desired!
I am very comfortable working with animals, and I don't just mean the fluffy bunnies with cute floppy ears. If you have a pet tarantula and you want some creepy alternative shots, bring it along to the shoot. The more bizarre the creature, the better *pats pet yabby*

hey again!
well, location wise near my house there is like a lake and its all natural and stuff and is really only good on a bright day and then i wouldn't mind a shoot in the city cause of how alternative it is there with architecture and its urbaness and i love the graffit scene- like in flinders lane.
but i think it would be best to do a cube shoot first cause we both seem to have strong ideas and focus on that more than a location shoot atm!
i was thinking maybe do the origami white paper one first then if you like the cube and if we work well together move onto the doll shoot (depending on how we go, might have to be another day)
im thinking for the shoot something like early- to mid march and either on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday (those are my days off from uni) when are you available???

that would be a great!
where do u think location wise? would you want to go towards a more natural nature sort of feel with trees, flowers, lake scenery? or something with buildings architecture? like in the city? or something more subtle like older buildings? etc.
i like the sound of a doll series sort of thing! that's really intriguing!
and the wall paper, im thinking maybe even like decorative wrapping paper could be effective- like a white cream one with little roses or something.
and i was also thinking it could be really cool to surround you with lots of stuffed toys like you are just part of the toy shelf or something! i was thinking yeah a more olden style to it like the feeling of isolation and used and abused sort of look... hmmm i dont know if that discribes it too well. but i think make it look like your the old toy and that the place where you were you've been forgotten about or something and replaced... but yeah we can throw around ideas on that.
also i thought white paper could be interesting. like cover the cube with plain white paper everywhere- really messy and then scrunching up a heap and you submerged in it and have like origami flowers in your hair and accessories like that. and i would have you eyes make-up dark with a light red blurring out from it.
yes, help with the cost of putting the set together would be helpful, thank you very much!

LOL! well confined space is my expertise!! the cube is in my backyard and is very loved! it is a 1m X 1m X 1m and is white on the inside.
so far i have done an all white theme and painted a model all white and then had them pose in it, done a hands theme which it the message was about feeling isolated and alone with 80 A4 hands photocopies all over the interior, i then did the newspaper one- where it was covered in newspaper and filled with scrunched up pieces. a plastic bag themes one and then i have just used it as plain white with models posing in it with sheets wrapped around them- there are some in my portfolio
but yeah, im always looking for new alternatives for it, but cost can some times be a problem, but the ideas i have had more shoots in there are:
toilet paper- patterned or messy allover the walls and then the model wrapped in it- or apply it like a dress, clay- all over the cube and the model being engulfed- very dramatic, leaves, body painting, smarties. and then drawing on the walls- like designs and stuff- like spider webs, flowers, maybe use wall paper. i dont know its limitless!!!
do you have any ideas???
