As of today (8/2/2009), I am finally revamping this profile, so the following information is current:

I am 21-years-old and am floundering around in life a bit right now. I am living in NE DC and working part time. If everything goes to plan, I'll be taking classes again in the upcoming Spring semester.

As far as modeling goes, it's something I've always been interested in and always enjoyed. I've been taking pictures of myself, doing somewhat elaborate photo shoots with me, a rickety tripod (or a stack of books once my tripod broke), and a point-and-shoot camera with a self-timer setting since I was 12. About 10 months ago I joined MM and I did a few shoots with MM photographers and group events in the New Jersey/NYC area (I was then living in Central Jersey), which is where the higher-quality images in my portfolio came from.

Unfortunately, I haven't done any shooting in a really, really long time. My portfolio needs updating in a bad, bad way!

As far as what I am interested in creatively, I am very much drawn to the artistic aspects of photography. I am not interested in simply having pretty pictures taken of me. I want to be part of an artistic work. I am interested in unusual lighting, extremely colorful shoots, shoots with a 'message' (subtle political/social commentary, for instance) while avoiding cliches, 'moment in time' type shoots (essentially where the photo makes you feel you're just seeing the tip of the iceberg, but you can guess what might be lurking under the water), funky/fetishy themed, et cetera.

That being said, I am also very interested in fashion photography (though I am a little short and little 'heavy' by industry standards [when I'm not being good about engaging in exercise and other health-conscious activities, which is the situation currently]) and fashion itself (though I am not very well-schooled on the fashion world as far as different designers and that sort of thing are concerned). I would certainly be very interested in doing shoots for look books, clothing websites, and anything else along that line.

I am not interested in doing ANY nude work at this time.

I'm also always interested in photography that inspires the viewer to question the nature of beauty itself.

Please be aware that at this point in my life I am in a very tight financial situation. I have a lot of student loans to pay off and I need to pay for more school as well as rent and gas and all of those things (as well as having no health insurance). In light of this, if you express interest in working with me on a TFP/TFCD basis and I like your work enough to be interested in working with you on TFP/TFCD but do not necessarily feel like you could add something spectacular to my portfolio, I may request a small pay rate. Nothing really that compares to regular modeling rates, but more something that compares to a 9-5 day job rates. Maybe $10-$15/hr plus travel (if I have to drive my 12mpg-but-only-vehicle-option-I-have a significant distance). I'm really hurting for income and every little bit helps. This excludes any nude work where I would request a more industry-precedented rate as discussed on an individual basis.

BODY MODIFICATIONS

Piercings: I have my right nostril, the left side of my lip, and my septum pierced. The septum horseshoe is easily flipped up into my nostrils and out of sight and the other piercings are barely noticeable, though I can certainly wear jewelry in them for a more alternative look. (The septum piercing is new, however, so I cannot change the jewelry at this time.) I also have 5 piercings in my left earlobe and 3 in my right.

Tattoos: I have wings on the inside and outside of my lower right calf above my ankles. Each wing spans about 4.5 inches on the diagonal. I have never tried to use cover-up on them, but as they are not filled in and not altogether very large, I think it would certainly work well enough to make it very easy to touch up in Photoshop if nothing else.

I also have a large, colorful teardrop-shaped tattoo on the left side of my torso that is roughly 6.5" by 2.5" at the tallest/widest parts.
