Photographer’s Bio
Originally from Lake Charles, LA, photographer Scott Hebert spreads his “southern boy” charm and talent coast to coast. While doing commercials, and modeling in Chicago, Scott fell in love with the camera. As his amazement grew, he began researching the art. His father later purchased a professional camera from a local pawnshop in 2002, and from there the love of photography grew even more.
Scott attended Louisiana State University pursuing a career in dentistry while at the same time nurturing his creative side. Eventually he was photographing most of campus. Finally, Scott decided to get serious about his photography so he launched his own company under the name of Studio 360 Imaging while still in Baton Rouge. Louisiana could only contain Scott for so long. He made the move to Los Angeles late in 2006 to finish his studies of dentistry and continue expanding his photography.
While treading through the many hardships of a big city like Los Angeles may have seemed overwhelming for most, this young man took it as stepping-stones to success. Within his first year in LA, he went from barely getting one paid or unpaid photo shoot a month to now operating the biggest majority African-American photography company in Los Angeles. With over 40 people such as make-up artist, hair stylist, clothing designers/stylists, creative directors, runway coaches, graphic designers, web designers, etc. working under the STUDIO 360 IMAGING name, it is very well seen that his company is ready for the future.
Now as he is featured on networks such as E! television, MTV, and BET and in many magazines throughout the world doing what he loves to do most, we can see that passion is all that is on his mind. One of is favorite quotes is, “Do what you LOVE to do!”
With a surge of ambition and much passion, Scott Hebert is now traveling the world on what he calls “THE ULTIMATE JOURNEY.” Sitting back one day, Scott realized that through all the success of his company, he still had more to offer, and a DREAM that many could only imagine. He knew he wanted to be one the best photographers in the world. For that he would have to create major ad campaigns for labels such as Dolce Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, and Giorgio Armani. With the bulk of these campaigns being shot overseas, Scott has decided to leave the comfort of his business back home in Los Angeles, pack his bags and move overseas with hopes of becoming the next World Class Photographer.
Not knowing many people outside of the country, he will be put to the ultimate test of survival, and becoming successful in a matter of 1 year. “The Ultimate Journey” will be filmed and documented through the eyes of this ambitious young man. Scott will be traveling to over 13 countries on his pursuit. Every week you will be able to log on to
www.scotthebert.com, and watch the video uploads that showcase where his journey has taken him the previous week, and where he is going the following week. You will also be able to see pictures of all the different wonders of the world as he sees them and shoots models with them.
He will also set up times to speak to other DREAMERS a couple times a week to inspire them to chase their dreams as he has his.
He prides himself on building professional/creative teams that can bring photography and his clients to the next level. He also would like to thank GOD, all of his family, friends, and many great supporters for all their help. Without any of them, none of this would have been remotely possible.
DREAM – “You can not depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.”

Amateur models - Do you know how many times editors, casting agents or people with a paying assignment has looked at your port and saw all these wack point and shoot camera shots and moved on with the quickness because they can tell right away you are not serious? That look is cute for Myspace, it doesn't fly so well in this industry unless you are drop dead gorgeous. Also, paying an agency or scam thousands of dollars to get average photos is a waste of time. So please invest in a good photoshoot that will get YOU paid!!!

*******PLEASE BEWARE OF MODELING SCAMS!!!!********
*BE CAREFUL OF PHOTOGRAPHERS THAT WANT TO MANAGE YOU!!
Ask to see and talk to there (list) of clients (models) and ask there clients, "show me the money, how much money have you made? and what legitimate (modeling) work have you gotten? " and ask "what can you do for me that I CAN NOT DO FOR MY SELF!"
If they talk down to you or try to make you feel stupid, tell them to hit the road!
* Be careful of wanna-be managers and aggressive agents that want to manage you; Or even worst, unexperienced friend trying to help, that does not know how to manage, conduct business, read contracts or has no idea how much a model should get paid. They can cause more harm then good. There are a lot of photographers that are very controlling and feel you need (there) approval before you shoot with anyone.
*Remember its QUALITY NOT QUANTITY. It does not matter how many picture you have, its how, with just a few strong pictures, still make a good impression
* Beware of aggressive agencies.
*REMEMBER! professional models get paid! No model has ever gotten rich by doing TFP or TFCD. It helps (TFP or TFCD) but, only with the RIGHT photographer.
*If you want to make modeling a career. Treat it like its your own business (learn to manage your self and be professional) and think about getting paid work. If your on your own or just starting, its a must!
*Even if your with an agency, you still have to hustle and don't depend on your agency to do all the work for you.
*Beware of agents who wants to dub you as an escort! Its sad, it happens sometimes. Please don't fall victim!
* Do your research on agencies, agents, managers, EVERYONE! on the web. Ask a lot of questions!
* Don't let anyone disrespect you!
*Also be careful of lazy agencies, that don't call you about work or auditions. Its important for you to find out whats up and maybe change to an agency that will get you work!
*Be careful of photographers that will shoot you for free (TFP) and sell the pictures for profit. Draw up a release (and read, his/her model release) saying your ONLY TFP for portfolio use or for submission to magazines. Any money being made by both parties involed. The model should get some compensation.
Look at it this way. If the model took the photographers pictures and made profit, off the pictures, that the photographer took, he would scream... compensation. If your with an agency. They wont let you sign any release to relinquish your rights to your images. Especially, for TFP. So, why do it voluntarily? Agencies are very weary of who you shoot with and wont allow you to shoot with just anyone. So be careful, if your on your own. Many models shoot and shoot (doing TFP) they think and act like there a professional model. Not knowing there image maybe used for profit, advertising etc...with out the models permission. Even worst, being exploited.
*If your shooting stuff on location or studio and photographer is running really late and has not showed up yet and your there, waiting. Make, the right judgment call. The right call, may be to leave. Unless of course, your getting paid. But, if its TFP, leave. Some photographers with big egos show up when they feel like it. Don't put up with it.

*******10 COMMANDMENTS FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS********
1. Label all your images with your watermark. If you don’t give yourself credit for your work, no one else will.
2. Don’t let a model or potential client fill your head with compliments; everyone is the greatest photographer to any person who is looking for a free ride to build their portfolio.
3. Allow a model to bring an escort but limit escorts to only one person. A photo shoot is not a spectator sport, so there is no need for a crowd looking over your shoulder.
4. Don’t chase down any model or celebrity trying to take pictures of them. If your work is truly of top quality, that person will be chasing you.
5. If a model or client is a no show or cancels a photo shoot, don’t reschedule no matter what their excuse it. Time is money, so why give that person another chance to cause you to lose more money?
6. Never trick off your money to pay a model or client for a photo shoot. They need the pictures just as much or more than you. Besides, if you can’t do a shoot with the model you want, there is another model out there that looks just like them who is more than glad for you to take pictures of them.
7. Keep your hands to yourself. Under no circumstances should you ever touch a model; that’s just a lawsuit waiting to happen. Your reputation is your career.
8. Be careful who you share your photo shoot ideas with; you may just see that same idea in someone else’s portfolio before you even get a chance to do it.
9. Don’t waste your time waiting for a model or client who tells you they wants you to do a photo shoot for them after they get their body together; chances are that person will never be ready.
10. Be careful who you date. People in and outside the industry often date photographers with alterior motives.
