NEW LOOK, NEW DIRECTION, BUT SAME GOAL:
To provide models with ultra quality images that that will mutually enhance our respective portfolios.

Welcome, my name is Richard Crosthwaite and I am proud to showcase my new look portfolio featuring all of my original work shot between the time I entered the photography world in August of 2008 to going VIP in August 2009.  Please read below for what has changed over the course of my freshman year as a photographer:

EQUIPMENT:
The most important lesson I learned is that to be the best, you have to shoot with only the best equipment. That said, I literally purchased all new gear, starting with my 15.1 megapixel Canon T1i and L-Series Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L glass. For outside lighting, I purchased two Canon Speedlite 580 EX II flashes and a set of three strobe lights for studio work. All PostProc work is done on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 using a MacBook Pro.

MAKE-UP ARTIST:
Perhaps the most visible aspect of any shoot, is the quality of the make-up and appearance of the model in her pictures. I have learned that a great MUA is an invaluable asset to any shoot therefore, I am proud to announce my association with Hilda Pinedo (MM# 1234755) as my MUA of choice for most shoots.

STUDIO:
As a photographer, I feel it is important to be equally at ease shooting on location or in a studio. For me, my biggest lessons about lighting and capturing excellence, came under the tutelage of Bill Schutt and his wife, Shirley at SMASH Studios in Long Beach (MM# 138152). Therefore, the majority of my studio work occurs there, as it is an incredible environment to shoot in.

ABOUT ME:
Oh, yeah, forgot about that part. Based on what models have told me about their experiences in working with me, I would say I am fun, energetic, driven and very eager to collectively capture great images with my models. I love to collaborate, I love what I do, and I love having fun doing it, so if you are a likeminded female, than we will capture incredible pictures.
