I model for fun and outlet. It's not my profession, clearly, but certainly a much enjoyed hobby. If you'd like to collaborate on something local, beautiful, unusual, and taking place on a Sunday (!) - I'll probably be game. Although I'm fairly experienced, I like a little direction for more challenging shoots. I've found if the photographer is experienced and he/she and I have good chemistry the results are pretty awesome.
I just bought a house on my own and am having it renovated. It sucks a lot of time and energy. I also work full time, have a part time job, and work several odd jobs. So please understand I can't join a shoot at the drop of a hat. I need time to mold my schedule around something, and usually will do so if the shoot sounds exciting.
I'm a feet on the ground, head in the clouds kinda girl. I'm a writer working a regular 10 to 6 Monday through Friday. Modeling is not my career--it's purely a creative outlet. I love the idea of being part of a work of art. As you can probably tell from my portfolio, I tend to gravitate to fantastical themes that are maybe dark at times but always tasteful. Hopefully I can be a part of your artistic vision!
I have the ideal renaissance/pre-raphaelite figure, in that I'm fleshy, but not overweight and not weak. I am pale and freckled. Mainstream beauty does not impress me and I have no desire to look blonde, tan, and/or waifish. I see beauty in the unique, and I like to hang onto my personal individuality, even if it seems flawed to some.
In modeling, I want to create beauty--images that are perhaps unconventional, but that inspire the viewer to think and feel. I'm interested in meeting new photographers to help me diversify my body of work, and to challenge me to step out of my comfort zone. But please note, I do not do nudes. Under the right circumstances and with a female photographer, I may consider implied nudes. But don't count on it. No bondage. No horror. No dead stuff. Girly, gothy, history-inspired, out in nature shoots--that's the stuff I love to do. I'd love to try extreme makeup shoots, so long as the results are attractive or compelling in a good way--and I've learned to just say no to really fake looking eyelashes and blackened eyebrows -- looks horrid on me!!!
Due to my work schedule, I can only shoot on weekends. I prefer to e mail back and forth about ideas to talking on the phone, because I can e mail whenever I want to. Hopefully that is not a problem.
Relevant information about my appearance: I have a large tattoo of a tree of life on my back. It is unfinished and I am not keen on showing it off. I have one blue eye and one hazel eye (mix of blue and brown.)
Questions? Comments? Got a project in mind? Tag or e-mail, and we'll chat!
I prefer to keep my shoots to a maximum of two a month because I work a full time job and have other hobbies and interests occupying my time. More shoots than that and I start to go batshit. I try to keep my shoots to the weekends, particularly Sundays so they don't interfere with work and my stress level is kept to a minimum. Just so you know.
