Currently doing artistic/experimental work with the Wet-Plate Collodion Process (Tintypes). I also use modern technologies.
Most recent exhibits were at Pershing Square in Downtown LA (Fall 2013) as well as a group show in Carmel, CA.
Previous: POV Gallery in Chinatown and Lois Lambert Gallery in Santa Monica, both Fall 2011.
First book to be published sometime soon. Really.
Mainly, I am interested in finding kindred souls who would like to test with me, be they models, makeup artists, stylists or whatever.
I am especially interested in photographing people who look as though they are from another time...
I am a college instructor who also gives workshops in the wet-plate collodion process several times per year through Julia Dean Photography Workshops, but am also available for private tutoring at my studio or yours.
I am currently available for private commissions as well as editorial work, headshots, portfolios, comp cards, etc...
Day Rates (editorial/commercial) on request.
I have been published in:
The New York Times
Latte, The monthly magazine of Guam (defunct)
Woodward Magazine (defunct)
