A LITTLE ABOUT ME:
I have spent the last 3 years serving as the official photographer of the St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders. I have done the photography, design and layout work for their posters and swimsuit calendars. I have also provided them with images from the field. It has been an honor to work with them.
I have worked for a few magazines, done editorial shoots, and cover photography for a few of them.
I am a NAPP Photoshop Guru Award Winner and am a proud member of the group of photoshop professionals.
I am honored to be sponsored by F.J. Westcott, and picked as one of their Top Pro Photographers. I can be found on their website and soon will have a gallery, bio, and training page on their site.
I am currently working on the images for the 2010 Westcott catalog.
IF YOU ARE COMING TO ME FOR TFP YOU MUST READ THIS !!!
Because I stay extremely busy and am out of town quite a bit. I rarely have time to do any trade work. When I am in town paid work always comes first. So if you are an aspiring model who likes my style and would love to work with me but can't wait, then pay me and you will get that chance. If you can't afford to pay photographers at this time unfortunately you will have to wait in line with the rest of the girls who have contacted me. I'm not trying to be mean, just fair to everyone, myself included. This is a passion of mine and I put everything I have in what I do, but it is also my livelyhood. I don't have a second job. This is all I do.
Also, when contacting me, please have an idea in mind for a shoot. 90% of the photography I am doing now is based in an idea or concept. I don't just put a pretty girl in a pretty dress and make pretty pictures. If you really want to work with me, come up with an idea that I can't refuse. If you need examples of what I am talking about look at my prior work.
Still want to try to get trade work?
HERE IS YOUR CHECKLIST!!!
You must have "ALL" of these for me to 100% say yes to tradework.
1. Be stunning. Not cute. Not attractive. STUNNING.
2. I need well porportioned models. Not overweight, not skinny.
3. Have a concept for your shoot. Be origional. When you think you're idea is so outside the box that no one has ever thought of it before, go further. I am open to almost any idea that doesn't include blood or heavily negative sentiments. Nudity is fine if it has artistic value.
4. Have your own makeup and hair person. It is not fair for me to ask my stylists to work for free also. If you want to use mine, plan on paying both of us.
5. Costuming. Be prepaired to pay for costume and design materials for your shoot or already have pieces that will fit the theme. Buy and return, or borrow works also.
6. Be willing to work to get the shot. Push yourself out of your shell to create the next level of image.
7. Don't expect a cd with a hundred images. When I work a shoot. I have one or a few at the most images in mind that I will create. There is no reason to have more because in a good portfolio you should show one image from a shoot. I don't give out uncleaned work and I don't clean hundreds of images for free.
8. Be patient. As I said earlier, money comes first. All other work is done when it can after that. If you want images turned around right away, then pay people.
9. I am married. I don't flirt with models. Please respect me as a professional and my wife. Don't call me honey, sweetie, baby, or anything other than Michael. Treat me as a professional and I will return the favor.
10. Let me know that you actually read this. If you really, really want to work with me, then you'll take the time to find out how. When you contact me, tell me your concept, your materials that you have to use, your concept for hair and makeup and who you plan to use. Then I will know that you are serious and if I like your ideas I will be more inclined to get you in.
Yes I realize these are alot of hoops to jump through, but let's look at it for what it is. You are asking for free work. I am not an amateur. Amatuer's will jump to do free work for models but look at the quality of work they have given so far. You are asking for free work from a professional and for me to do this it just has to be worth my time.
Thank You,
Michael
