About Me

Born and raised in San Jose, CA, Andrew Dinh started dancing at a young age, directing his own dance crew, Phaxion, throughout high school and dancing in Culture Shock’s apprentice company, Future Shock, where he had the opportunity to perform on NFL’s Halftime show with LL Cool J & Amerie. He started his professional career teaching the hip hop competition team at Dance Theatre International in San Jose, and continued to teach at different dance studios and organizations such as the YMCA and the API Wellness Center. Andrew’s background in musical theatre includes his lead role as Lun Tha in CMT’s production of “The King and I” and Mark in the musical “A Chorus Line.”

He then moved to San Francisco and continued his dance career training and performing with professional Aztec and African dance company, Cuicacalli Escuela de Danza. He also started dancing under the Ronnie Reddick Dance Alliance, where he performed and modeled for companies such as Google, Sony, Microsoft, and Estee Lauder; was a featured dancer in an international commercial for Carrefour in France; and toured around the world with the Bill Hopkin’s Band. While living in San Francisco, he worked closely with pop artist, Ida Flo, as the assistant choreographer and performed at numerous shows such as BET’s 106 & Park in New York City and a residency at the San Francisco Supper Club. Andrew was also a featured dancer/actor in Cedar Fair Entertainment’s production of “Culture Pop” at Great America. Simultaneously, he was a dance teacher for the San Francisco Unified School District teaching all grade levels hip hop.

Andrew’s move to Los Angeles has been a pivotal moment in his career. Just within the last year, he has been on tour with EDM star and celebrity song-writer, Bright Lights, and also with Michael Jackson tribute performer, Michael Knight. In his acting life, he is a recurring actor for BuzzFeed and has been featured on hit TV shows such as The Mindy Project, A to Z, Parks and Recreation, and The Millers.
