This was my first real portrait shot.  I was going for a very raw look so that's why I gave it a bit of an S curve and left in things like the freckles.  Normally I just shoot things with wheels and I haven't even done that for very long so I would like any comments or advice.  Thank you.

Lots to like with this image but I do not like the sepia treatment - when I copy it into photoshop and remove the sepia/color and add and adjust the levels to add contrast and brighten the image a bit it jumps out at me.

Taking to picture is the first step but learningto fine tune these images is the final stage and itis something you develop with proctice patience andmore practice.

Good work however.  You have a good eye and likely a good manner aobut you or the subject may not have been so attractive.
