Greetings All,

My name is Aliza.  I want to thank Nedjetti for something just for us! I've been doing hair for 10 years now.  It's been 2 years with license. It took me so long cause I thought I wasn't good enough, I was scared! of what people might say I was around hairdressers all my life.  My great grandmother was a beautician.  They say your ancestors have a major part on who your are. I guess it's the saying, "If you don't know where your from you don't know who you are?"   I've worked in the salon, and spas you name it.  But it's just not for me it's very limited in the art of hair.  When I doing hair on a shoot I can let my imagination go wild!  So Free!  I love it.  It's about expressing yourself with out stepping on any toes casue the toes you step on today will be the butt you kiss tomorrow!

                                                              BlessingsAll Aliza

Your port. should be 9X12.  You should call a makeup/hair agency to see what their requirements are.  (In case they have changed)

hi!
i'm fairly new to MM.  i've been on the site for a long time as a model,
but stopped doing that years ago.

i go to school at paul mitchell, i'll be graduating in december.
i'm in phase two, an honors program with the top ten in the school.  it's ran like a salon.
i'm very involved with school.

i've won a national contest and a school contest.

i use to say that i thought of myself as a cutting specialist, i suppose i do favor that more, but color has really been exciting me lately.  i also love styling.  i'm basically teaching myself as far as that goes.  it's so much fun!

i'm hoping to work with a number of photographers and MUA's over the summer to build my portfolio.  i'm really excited.

anyway, it's always nice to talk about hair with other people.  =]

I've been very lucky and stumbled upon great experiences with photogs, MUA's and other stylists. I'm into assisting now I want to assist MUA. I also love checking out profiles for MUA and other hairstylists. I'm in the Cali area and sometimes in RI.

Hey fellow stylists,

My name is Treasa Manigault smile. I am from New York and I'm a creative hair artist.  I love creating abstract art with hair.  I just love the way makeup, fashion and a touch of hair art can transform an everyday person into a true diva if done right.  I work with all textures of hair and I love it.  I am so in love with the beauty indusrty that I buy so many hair magazines from New York to London each month.  I'm always interested in learning and taking classes (which is what led me to study at MUD).  Even though I must say I am extremly proud of my work and have clientle of my own I am open and willing to assist any senior hairstylist that can teach me something new and interesting (I will also assist makeup artist because I need more makeup practice then hair).  Come check out my work and you can see my even more creative stuff at www.myspace.com/artbytreasa.  Feel free to contact me I would love to talk.  With that said I'm out.  Peace!

Hey everybody, I'm Angel.  Hairstyling is my first and true love, but, I am enjoying a  new affair with becoming a true professional MUA.  ( I say it this way since their are so many porf that I've looking at and though I aspire to be as good as these artist, I am still learning and " paying my dues " so to say.)
That having been said, I'm not too long out of school and have been working in a salon in my hometown.  With the occasional TFP shoot, while trying to build my own prof.
Glad to meet you all!!

Hello to all fellow hair stylists. Props to you all, I am new to this site. Thanks Nedjetti for this thread we definitely needed something like this. It is sooooo good to see other stylists out there and the creativity we all bring to the world. We are a force to be wreckoned with. Well about me, I have been doing hair for over 18 years now and have done some tv/video & print, some with celebrities. I specialize in hair care, precision cuts, coloring etc... but I want to do Avant Garde styles too. I want to continue to learn as much as possible in this industry, because is is ever changing. You have to stay on top of your game.Since I am a quick learner I don't think it will be a problem. My goal is to continue going to the next level in this industry and bring my creative Avant Garde/Fantasy creativity to the world!
