Brighten up!

If nothing else, light eyes.  (I've seen more eyes gouged out by one-lamp johnnies this year than is to be believed, and then, sigh, in print as well as on the Internet).

What in the picture makes the picture?  (Deliberately select):

--Atmosphere (location and lighting)?
--Fashion (color, design, textiles, textures)?
--Moment (story, activity, and action)?
--Pure Aesthetics (beauty and mystery of the model in form or expression)?

Add your own variables.

The point is not necessary to have a point but to have enough in the work to inspire curiosity, emotion, and other forms of "interest" in strangers.  Entertain yourself first.  If you're not getting a charge from your prints, there's something you didn't do when you made the exposure.  Find that thing and fix it next chance.
