If I were to do this in After Effects, I'd have gotten rid of the blinking light on the left; it doesn't seem to be a part of the house at all.

(But first I'd have to learn After Effects.  Or something.)

Possible.

Notice how the light reflects off the house though? It looks very realistic. It would be hard to do all that masking in After Effects.

Although, I must admit, that doing it for real would most likely be MORE time-consuming than doing it in After Effects. I'm not sure ...

I wonder if there are any news reports on the thing to see if it's a real house or not?

You know, if you set up a light board with all those cues timed to the music, it wouldn't be that tough at all.

Relatively.

I'm dining with a theater lighting designer tonight--I'll ask her how she'd do it and how long it would take.  smile

#1 - I impressed that you know who Einsturzende Neubauten is.

#2 - I'm more impressed that you have seen one of their shows.

#3 - The most impressive of all is that you are a big enough fan to spell their name correctly.

So according to my lighting designer friend, there's a program that will do most of the work for you in terms of matching the lights to the music, as long as you can input a MIDI.

This is related and really cool.  Who wouldn't want to play pong on the side of a building?

This is actually a computer program that's sold on the internet. It sells for between $599 and $999. I've seen a home like this in person and i must say it's amazing!
