TFP, Time For Prints, pre-dates the Internet by many years.  The original idea (back in the days of film, before there were digital images) was that a photographer would shoot photos of a model - the model would not charge for his or her time modeling nor would they pay the photographer - the photographer would not pay the model, but would not charge them either.  A fair and equal exchange of time for photos. So some say.

In conclusion, you get jack when it comes to money.  You get photos to expand your portfolio.  Be happy.  smile

you don't get shit (in terms of money).  You get experience and a possibly a good portfolio (if you choose the right photographers).  To get a better portfolio, you may actually have to pay a pro photographer.

New models don't get a salary.  Hell, even most more experienced models don't either, unless they're 5'9"+, a perfect 34-24-34, etc.

If by "how much" you mean cash money, absolutely nothing. A new, untried model probably doesn't understand what's involved in TFP, but the photographer is already investing in your shoot.... his time, his talent, his experience, his equipment. In some case, his wardrobe. You get images that others would ordinarily be expected to pay for.... get it? As someone starting out, you're already getting more than you're probably giving.
