my boyfriend (aka the silent occassional escort) always buys me modeling and makeup books at Books a Million.  He just bought me "Making Faces" a few weeks ago.  It's very good.  I highly recommend it and Amazon has it on sale right now.

I'm suspicious of anything that comes out of a mac pro store that isn't a pigment.

As a photographer I just bought "Making Faces" and "Face Forward."  I highly recommend these books.  I purchased them to learn more about the process myself as well as being able to tell a model, "this is what I want and this is how you can do it."

I think they are $27 together with free shipping from Amazon.
