I know this is going to sound really gay, but does anyone know of any sewing groups in the South Florida area? I was devastated to learn that my sewing mentor can no longer teach me because his wife has had enough of too many people trafficking though the house (He's a dress designer and always has clients over.)

Soooo, now I'm sort of in a bad spot because there is a lot I need to learn, and I need to learn all that to improve my costumes for my dancing gigs. I've been searching the web for groups or places that offer lessons, but I haven't had too much luck. Everything is for quilting and all the groups only meet once a month.

I need a dedicated mentor. I need accelerated classes. If you have any information about this, I would REALLY appreciate it.

I don't know about a mentor, but there are online courses you can take.

Here's a couple of sites that offer classes, I've found the lessons to be easy and affordable ... a LOT better than $72,000+ for fashion design school.
