Is it just me or does anybody else is somewhat disturbed by forum headings that have typos in it...

... I mean... English is not my first language and I do make mistakes, but if I see topics that are misspelled I do cringe a little bit.

Of course, that is not only on here, but other message boards as well.

Typos IN the message body is somewhat excuseable... but in the heading?

C'mon...

Well, if heading titles could be edited, there might be less mistakes.

Then again, entries can be edited and those are often riddled with errors.

You cannot edit the headings so I do not worry about that.

I do not like the headings that tell you nothing.

Like"a question",  "another question",  "looking",  etc

Let us know what the thread is going to be about, Please.

Yeah... some brief specific info would be swell...

Like "Looking for Model/Photographer"... and adding maybe the REGION would be great too.

The ones that annoy me are:

"Question"

"Have you ever"

and any other title that might as well say "cream of mushroom soup."

Say something about the eff-ing subject of the post in the title!

English was not my first language either, and of course we all make mistakes in any language, but this totally bugs me too. Especially when the same person does it consistently. Not just on message boards but emails and their portfolios/sites as well.
Repeated basic mistakes,
TYpinG lIKe SOme dEFEctIve KeyBoARd, stuff like that
tells me that the person has no respect for those who will be reading it.

I can be a lameoid when it comes to typing
but my fave peeve was a radio ad for the University of the Arts in PHilly, it ran for over a year on Y100 and WYSP.  The voice in the ad actually said "Photog-aphy"(no frickking' R) It used to drive me nuts.  It sounded like a student produced spot from the UoA itself, and nobody listened to it before they ran it.  Then just to devil me, they kept running it...lol

I wonder if everyone spellchecked their entries before contributing to this thread wink

My personal annoyance is when people mix up their, they're, there or two, too, to or where we're were -- drives me up the wall.

It kind of reminds me of the saying, "Your first impression is the most important." Or, something along that line.
