Any recommendation for where to obtain flowers and petals for shoots in tubs or scattered on the floor? I would assume a framer's market? Florist?

Thanks.

Do you have a fabric store near you? Readily available there.

If you want real ones then arrange that with a florist near you for same day as the shoot so they are still bright red and crisp.

Maybe if you catch a florist shop near the end of the day they will have some flowers they are getting ready to throw away because they are close to being bad...I would think you could get those for free or at least a discounted price

Spencer's gifts in msome malls have fabric like rose petals..usually in several different colors.  I know they had them around Valentine's day, but you should be able to find them there most of the year.
They come in a red box with roses all over it.  They run about 10 bucks or so a box.  I think there is 100 petals in it.

I know it's strange but...funeral parlors.
They get many flower arrangements a day and they are often just thrown out. Ask if you can have unclaimed arrangements.

Best option is you have money.

If you do not then many flower store throw away old flowers that are not really that old.  In NY there used to be a huge amount of great stuff thrown away in one place.

If you are on a budget also check with the florist for stuff they will be throwing away if you do not want to chance it..    Boxes of flower petals can be expensive and get dirty quickly.

I would contact a local country club. They usually use flowers for the tables and during the middle of the week the will exchange the old for the new. I did this quite often

Either Craft stores for fake ones, or a Florist.

I find that morbidly amusing.

The last time I used them, I bought them at Kroger's (a grocery store) in their floral dept.
