im just starting out and i want to know if i schedual a shoot with a photographer do i bring the model or does the photographer bring the model? its for building up my portfolio

this totally depends on how you want things to work, if its a test, if its paid work, what the specifics are, how many models, how many looks, etc. etc.

if you want to send me a message telling me exactly what you are trying to achieve and how you would LIKE it to happen, then i will be happy to suggest logical scenarios for you to chose from, or give any other advice you need.

You'd definitely talk out the details before hand with the photographer.  You approach them with either "I'd like to work with you..." and go from there, or you say "I'd like to work with this model, would you be willing to shoot her" and go from there.

this sounds more like a question that you should ask the photog.

But generally, a photographer can always use a good MUA so he/she's likely to have models already.
