Dec 10 08 05:55 am Link Perhaps we are going about it wrong. Recently someone on my friendslist entered a photo in the photo of the week. This person sent me and others a message asking to vote for the picture. I voted at the time without thinking and responded yes I voted have a great day. Then I saw a photo that had amateur paintshop pro over touchup work that actually won the photo of the week against some other stronger (in my opinion) photos!!!! So who is really voting? I could easily tag everyone that listed my 3 entries here saying I entered a photo you liked and listed so if you like it better than the other entries please vote for it. Chances are they would vote for it. I think the mods should pick ports to highlight every week on the home page so MM members can view their port that week and show how talented and different we all are for the way the contest are now is biased and the person who will win is the person who will invest the most time to hit people up to come vote even if its within the rules ie âcheck out the contest I entered it and if you feel I deserve your vote cast it for that photo or whomever you think should winâ. Just my opinion that they will probably vote for you. A photographer would feel a greater sense of accomplishment if out of the blue they received a message from the site saying we really like your work and made you photographer of the week so everyone who logs into MM this week will see your work as opposed to me tagging a handful of people to come here and "vote for me if you think my photos are the best entry".
