Baseball great Kirby Puckett passed away a few hours ago due to complications from a stroke yesterday.  He was 8 days shy of his 45th birthday.  Truly a sad, sad day for baseball fans everywhere and the entire state of Minnesota must be in mourning.

Rest in peace, Kirby.

Sad. Very sad.

A great baseball player. A superstar in a small city market.

He will be remebered with smiles.

A Chicago guy, from not the best part of town, who rose above it, and became a stuperstar, to bad it wasn't in his home town.

Down here during spring training you could always count
on Kirby to take the time and sign autographs and chat with the fans.
As a long time baseball fan, not many do that today or then, but
Kirby was the real deal.

I heard him sing Young Girl when he still had the Union Gap.  It was in concert at Marty Zifkows Ballroom. Awesome !

Hilarious.  May people have as much sympathy for you when you pass on.
