Hey People,

I need some honest feedback on my work because I'm not getting any......work, that is. What would you like to see more of. What should I not show. Please do this for me and I will repay the favor.

Thanks,

Filipe

Okay,  I took a look you cry baby.  You have good stuff but not to the level of getting big jobs,  think small,  fine tone,  and work your way up the latter.

No one every promised you a rose garden.

This shit is hard..  no really I just found some old stuff behind the couch that is hard as a rock.  White too,  no smell though,, stupid lazy human.

Don't listen to Jack, he's irritated cause he's getting neutered tomorrow.

Have you actually done anything to promote your work other than just putting it on sites like this? Are you sitting around waiting for somone to find you and knock on your door?

what kind of work are you trying to get? you need to narrow down your style, which i'm not sure you have quite developed yet- it's hard to hire someone when you have no idea what they are going to produce. work on putting together a consistant book and then try and look for jobs. not being mean, just how it is.

Exactly I was wondering that while I was looking through his work as well. I couldn't pin point a particular style and I also use to hear that all the time from art directors. They would tell me I'm scared to hire you because I don't know what I'll get.

I can see now that this critique forum is a load of crap.

Fred, your work is inconsistent. It all says "model shots" under them but that's all they have in common. Are you a black and white photographer or a child photographer or a portrait photographer or a fashion photographer?

Gary, No shit! really? Marketing?

Jack, Shut the f*ck up.

I think LaMarco Photo and Xtreme Artists have it right. To the rest of you, Take a real good look at your work. If your satisfied, Your done. Thanks anyway.

Wooohooo! Fuck em all..LMAO

Now you are a pro..LOL You work is fine and everyone should know, if you are going to try out for a glam shot, you do not take your fashion book.

So keep it, I think you work is good. I would say great, but I save that for me.. HAHA!  JOKES PEOPLE!

I noticed inconsistency in style - for instance the girl in the red sweater looks like someone else shot it than shot the other images.

Also, the one headshot is pretty blury...

Yes Shit, Marketing wise ass. What have you done? That was my question. You asked, if you can't take the criticism without acting llike a 2 year old baby then you should not have asked.

No, YOU take a real hard look at my work ace. The day you come slightly close is the day you might, just might get a simple job.

Only asses like you start personal attacks which is not allowed here. So maybe you should shut the fuck up.

I would have to agree with those that have commented on the wide variety of photography styles you are showing here at MM.

Is there a particular market you wish to work in?  I would alter the images you are showing to concentrate on whatever that market is, and elimate the rest of the photos.

Of course, if you aren't looking to specialize in some type of model photography, MM isn't the right place for you.

Hey Gary

Do you see any intelligent, helpful comments on my WORK here? I asked for a critique on my photos (being the cause) NOT my business practices. You missed the point.

"No, YOU take a real hard look at my work ace."

And yeah, I looked at your work. I'm waiting to be impressed.

Hm... I don't recall asking for "your" comments especially after reviewing "your" work but they all say models because they all are models (duh) represented by agencies around the US and a few internationals. My inconsistency as you have stated gets me "consistent" work (lol) and nationally recongized by BMG, FORD, NeXT, ELITE, IMAGES, ARLENE WILSONS, BOSS and on and on not to mention Ad agencies and art directors as well.

But to answer "your" question, I shoot all of what you asked even the "medium" B&W. I am referred to as a "people shooter" specializing in fashion. I shoot other categories that you failed to recognize such as lifestyle, editorial, commercial, catalog and beauty. What I don't shoot are weddings, porn, glamour, pr, journalism, industrial, goth, sports, landscapes, etc. I make no claims here or anywhere else about what "I" can do, nor do I attack anyone's work. I only respond with what I know to be true in the circle in which I work "consistently" in.

My clients seem to get that fact so that's all that matters. And by the way, "It all says "model shots" under them but that's all they have in common." Let's see, common  - consistent, hm... seems you have contradicted yourself but after looking at your work, I expect that from you.

You are obviously a wannabe who can't tell good from bad. Most beginners have that trait, like yourself. It's a joke if you even think you come anywhere near my skill level. Your work basically sucks and there's nothing there. You couldn't get that shit published on a paper bag.
If you think that ridiculous comment coming from a hack like you even phases me, think again. I KNOW my work and my accomplishments of which you have none obviously shooting that shit.

Sorry Fred, I will attack this gutter hack since he is a total asshole.

Can't we just all get along?????  Look guys.... get something in common.... look at my posts.... it'll give you both a cheerful laugh.... and who knows..  we can all be friends.  Everyone has their own style ... and what i've noticed... is that a person who has one particular style sometimes isn't interested or appeased by the particular style of others.

Listen Filipe, I really have nothing against you or your work.

But if you are going to post on these forums then expect alot of sarcastic and hard remarks and a ton of joking around. That's just the way this particular forum is. There are rules but not many. We are more or less self policing. Attacks are an everyday thing on here so don't let them get you bent out of shape.

Can we call a truce now?
