A little disturbing
This has probably been discussed before, but is it right for a 16yr old model to be posting nude photos of her self that she says the shots were taken by her dad? I just noticed her profile being created and it kind of bothered me. Jul 03 05 07:51 pm Link I agree,AND this is BS. If you notice the first picture, I don't know of any homes that have fire sprinklers located at the top of the wall* It appears to be a hotel room,, go figure Jul 03 05 07:58 pm Link And to think some Moms got busted getting some nekid pics of their infant child on a bear skin rug... Should be over 18 for nudes.. illegal.. Jul 03 05 08:01 pm Link I think that was the shortest lived profile I've ever seen. deleted within 15 in minutes. Jul 03 05 08:07 pm Link some profiles get removed faster... faster the report the faster the removel depending on what moderator gets the message Jul 03 05 08:09 pm Link I think this person did it themselves, they left a nasty gram as out going message. lol. Jul 03 05 08:11 pm Link Thats NEVER ok. It's just plain creepy. Jul 03 05 08:12 pm Link well, she gone from here. but I guess she has a profile on OMP still, I dont know were though. Jul 03 05 08:15 pm Link seriously creepy... never mind that her dad supposedly took the pics... she seems to be getting pimped ou to do nude work at 16 Jul 03 05 08:16 pm Link I doubt that her dad took the pictures. I assume her boyfriend and I assume he's posting them, just a guess but makes more sense then 16 year old posting nudie shots her dad took. I wish they had left them up so we could find out who the photographer really was. Jul 03 05 09:45 pm Link they may be on OMP someplace, just done know what were. Jul 03 05 09:49 pm Link that's just disgusting! For one: she's too young. Also, if it were her dad who took the shots (which I seriously doubt), he could be getting in trouble with the law, because that would fall under the same category as child pornography, which is a federal offense. Just disgusting. Jul 03 05 09:52 pm Link Be careful about saying anything negative about OMP on MM - its likely to get you deleted from OMP even if you've paid for a full year. Jul 03 05 09:54 pm Link Posted by Photos by Gary: Thanks for stepping forward. I just logged back on and missed what you saw. I'm glad I didn't see it, because I'd be pissed off. I'm a Dad of three girls, ages 20, 14 and 10 and whether I lived in New York, Paris, or Bangkok, and whether it was legal or not, I'd never photograph any of my daughters in the nude, nor allow, or give any of them my permission or blessings to shoot nudes (implied, or not), with other Photographers, while they are under the age of 21. Same thing goes for my four boys. Jul 03 05 09:56 pm Link I think the girl in question was full of it- It was just to get people in a snit... Jul 03 05 10:13 pm Link Justin, you may be right even though she never tried to defend her site. Just deleted everything and left. The shots were not very good, as was said before they were just your average shot by boyfriend hotel room picture. I have a feeling that she may have posted them on OMP and didn't get much of any response and decided to try MM, and since this group is a bit more out spoken has the ability to place comments direct on a profile she found out right away what everyone thought. Jul 03 05 10:36 pm Link Not directed to anyone in particular, but if you are unwilling to believe that the pics were taken by her dad, & are unwilling to believe that they were shot at her home, why are you willing to believe that she is 16? She could just as easily be 19, or for that matter 14. If you think that she was full of it & just trying to get people in a snit, you should probably believe none of what she says. Jul 03 05 11:55 pm Link which kind of makes me think of... was she american? Cause if not it would be only illegal to have the pics on an american server. If you have the parent written(!) permission it wouldn't be illegal doing shots from an 16 year old - but she has to be at least 16... Jul 04 05 12:09 am Link The truth is nobody knows who really posted the profile maybe it wasn't even a girl. Unless you track the ip address to a specific home and know who lives there...and even then, anyone could be using that computer. Just a thought. Jul 04 05 12:19 am Link Posted by DreamPretty?: Nobody, except for the staff of Model Mayhem who has access to server logs that contain the IP address. Mwua :} Jul 04 05 12:25 am Link Posted by Joe K. Perez: Posted by DreamPretty?: Nobody, except for the staff of Model Mayhem who has access to server logs that contain the IP address. Mwua :} Hehe and the ip adress only will give you nothing... ) Jul 04 05 12:27 am Link Posted by Stan Goldstein: This sounds like one of the wise and insightful comments I would make, which people would completely ignore. Jul 04 05 03:26 am Link Anybody hear of Jock Sturgis? He is a photographer who worked with naturist families in Europe and took very artistic and non-erotic photos. His work got him investigated in the USA, but the long and the short of it was that the parents gave permission to have the pics taken, exhibited and published, and even though the Feds got their panties in a wad about it - the work was legal because it was not pornographic. Naturist magazines also feature photos of nude minors taking part in nudist and naturist activities, and it is all legal. Remember too that the USA is one of the only industrialized democracies that doesn't allow nude sunbathing and skinnydipping like they do overseas. Whole families get naked outdoors in aprks in the middle of towns like Munich. Just because we have a Puritan background, doesn't mean we have to let that handicap us. Jul 04 05 06:14 pm Link Jock Sturges had sex with a minor while being a teacher in a prep school in New England. The name of the girl is Jennifer Mongomery. She refused to help the FBI but later made a movie about it all called Art For the Teachers of Children. Jul 04 05 06:19 pm Link Posted by Telephoto Studio: the model who this post was about though was selling "pornographic" slanted images off her yahoo group. that were "taken by dad" totally differnt then the artistic people out there who get trashed here and there for their work. Jul 04 05 06:19 pm Link Sorry that's Montgomery. The film is worth watching particularly if you are a potographer. Jul 04 05 06:20 pm Link My spelling is hopeless. If you are a photographer! Jul 04 05 06:22 pm Link Someone please show me ANY law in the United States, that says it is illegal to Photograph a Minor Nude! There is no such law! None. Zero. It is not Child Pornography! Get that out of your head. Nor do you need a signed Photo Release either, provided it is not for commercial use! A photo release gives the Photographer the right to use the photograph basically as he or she sees fit. It is a legal contract that allows the photographer to make money off the image. Let's stop with making up laws. If the profile was legal, And her Dad took the pictures in question, there is still nothing illegal about any of it. Immoral - maybe depending on your morals, But Illegal, Definately not (unless it was pornographic) I can literally travel to the beach in South Jersey, Photograph all the nude minors I want until my heart is content, Place them on the web anywhere I want, and violate absolutely ZERO Laws.
