would anybody out there like to critique my work. most of it is shot with a canon AE-1 and f/1.4 50mm lens. the film is kodak 160/400VC or ektachrome 100 plus cross-processed and pushedabout 1 stop or so. comments from models and photographers will be apreciated. im young and still trying to find a look that work for me and my clients best. thanks~Zach
oh yeh i also need reccomendations on a good pro SLR. im leaning towards the canon eos1v-hs with the f2.8 70-200mm IS USM lens and f3.5-5.6 35-350mm USM lens

I'm actually very impressed. A lot of you're images look like something you would see in a magazine or on a billboard. Pro work, for sure! If you ever get up my way, be sure to drop me a line!

I started with Pratica in the 80's the canon T90 towards the end of the 80's and now I use Eos 3+50 and EOS 10D, but I only shoot 100 ISO Fuji Reala as the grain so fine I had to buy a more powerful grain focus finder to see it on my easel and I can get grain free enlargements at 24X20 inches from a 35mm cropped neg.  I have considered the EOS1vhs but apart from its weather proofing and exposure recording I dont think it worth the extra £600 on top of my EOS3.  I would suggest that you buy a EOS3 and with the money you save buy a 10D as well you will find your work time drastically reduced.  re lenses I use the 17-40 F4L and 70-200 F4L but I have tested the 70-200 F2.8L IS and yes its great but again the F4l costs £400 and F2.8LIS is £1300 and the F4L is so good that I dont think the additional £900 is worth it.  As for the 35-350 L lenses, I have tried this also and it is not very nice to handle as its centre of gravity changes so much as you zoom and besides in tests it is decidely "soft" compared to other "L" zooms, canon had to compromise it as it is doing too much, only sports photogs will get any benefit from the zoom range as the players race all over the pitch at a football game.  My advice for your budget would be EOS3+EOS10d+70-200 F4L+24-70F2.8L and if you really need the 350mm for birding/sports them get the 400mm F5.6L is is really sharper than the 35-350. Oh an nice some great shots that blow away some other shots, keep up the good work.
