Just installed CS4 and Photoshop can't display white at all. 255 is not white. I'm also running CS3 and white is white, likewise with Bridge white is white. Even if I create a blank document it shows up as a light beige. Anyone run into this problem. I've contacted Adobe support but haven't heard back yet.

I have CS4 and no problems. Have you gotten all the 268 mb of updates? I was having issues with camera raw until I did. GL

Yeah, I did update which resolved the RAW image issue. (5D MKII CR2 files need 5.3 CR to open) I've looked everywhere for some possible resolution with no success. Even checked the color settings against my CS3 version.

Is CS4 picking up your calibrated monitor setting/profile?

I was going to ask you about calibrating your monitor until I noticed it was just an issue with CS4.

Try resetting PS to original settings and see if that fixes the issue.

Not sure where the default and/or reset to original settings is?

When I set the Proof to Monitor RGB the picture shows more so in the original color but still can't get white at 255 if that makes.

you are missing a color profile...go to edit>show all menu items>color settings. Make sure you have adobe 1998 - if its not there you have to go to load & find it in the adobe folder on your HD. should be>program files>adobe>adobe cs4 should be a .cfs file. Let me know if this doesn't work.
