Glamour is the shit. In fact, I can't decide weather I like booty or boobie more. I think there was a college poll out and booty won... I wish I could find the source... but I'm with you... booty or boobie... isss allll gooood.

So, there's no use analyzing it because it's a futile exercise, and we have better things to do than wonder why people choose not to pose nude. Let them do their thing, and you do yours!

Read through this thread (and other "she won't do nudes") and pick out the comments that are saying: "That posing sexy nude is the whole objective of the exercise. Like why would you do any other form of photo-modeling?" They could be right, especially if you don't like hot bikinis and lingerie. If more than a hobby, nude glamour is also big business. Photographers/clients will pay fer it, models earn from it. You hear that's it's the most profitable and commercialized area of photo and video modeling. If you've got it and wanna make real money then go fer it. But its not the only business or type of glamour in town. For many photographers, it's the resulting visual art that's all important, the creation and publishing compelling images, whether for art's sake or for commercial intent. There are some incredibly talented artists here who are so far beyond the question and issues of nudity. The shoot is a means to an end. What the model is wearing is a means to an end. Some genres, styles or markets call for clothed glamour, and there is a lot of excellent clothed glamour and pinup work out there. Good glamour photography, whether clothed or nude is very challenging. Both can result in excellent images. Both can result in trash.

BUT... we aren't going to restart the debates... there are 8 pages already full of debate.. if you like... read a lot of them.. and we can call it good

This is way different than a "She won't do nudes" this is about girls choosing a genre that contains a lot of nudity and they want to go against the curve and say "I don't do nudes, though I'm in a genre that requires a lot of nudity"

I don't distinguish. I'm all for changing the norms, re-invention, creating new genres, pushing/contracting boundaries. I don't have issue with "I don't do nudes" whether its glamour or not. I don't have issue with size 16. If I am looking for talent, I just wanna be able to look at/search portfolios - the text and images, and be able to tell what space they are operating in, how creative they might be, how easy to work with. etc. I am not looking for a political debate. But I guess MM is more than a portfolio site/ talent marketplace.

They neither help nor hurt you, in spite of your Saturday night ramblings. It's a very simple deal, sell yourself the best way you know how. If that's good enough you will be successfull, if it's not there's no one to blame but you. Failure or success will be a result of your assets or shortcomings and a myspace girl from Peoria, Illinois will not factor into it.

So, basically the only people in favor of these models is A) the models who we are discussing B) the shooters who shoot TF with them. My point exactly.

Yet they bitch there is no money for them... duh!! That is why they get burnt out and new ones pop up all the time for beginners and intermediates to shoot for free, whenever they want. Gotta keep the circle going somehow.

There has been no such talk in this thread about losing jobs? You must have filled in where you did not read. Hurting the reputation was about GLAMOUR, not mine.
