Ok this is a strange one for me because I absolutely hate 99 percent of Rap /Hip Hop music due to the rythems and themes /messages ( however I absolutely love dancehall Reggae-  go figure  ) but there is one song in the Rap /Hip Hop   genre of music  that I absolutely love

                                    California Love - by Tupac

So in my view this is the greatest Rap /Hip Hop song of all time ..........( not exactly an informed opinion on my part  but it is my opinion none the less )

As an "auldephart" who grew up in the 70's, I tend to dislike Rap and Hip-Hop. The only music of this type that I can at all appreciate would be some of the earlier stuff from '79 to '88 like Sugar Hill Gang, Curtis Blow, and Tone Loc.

Antyhing after that is crap, not rap!

Ok, I'm old school I guess. I like Funky Cold Medina-Tone Loc, and Mama Said Knock You out-LL Cool J. I also like the remake of a George Clintion song that Snoop did. I can't remember the name of it, though.

I think this is a good topic 'cause you're gonna get a bunch of different answers and opinions.  I will say that one of my favorites is "One More Chance" by The Notorious B.I.G. featuring Faith Evans.  Why?  Biggie is my favorite male rapper (Foxy Brown's my fave female rapper) and Faith Evans is my favorite singer (I have a Yahoo! group dedicated to her)...these two, who also happened to be a married couple, did such a great job on that collabo, and I wish Biggie was still around and droppin' more hot shit to keep us boppin' our heads.
