Well..."The area" is kind of a nebulous term
That could mean anywhere from Ocala to Miami with this group
So it's a little tough to give you advice about a particular place without nailing it down a little closer

Otherwise, I'd suggest you have a job BEFORE you move
Rent for a while before you buy so you can make sure you have the correct area for your family
Never Run with Scissors
No Self Serving Statements
No leading on direct

Other than that, best of luck

By the area I was meaning Tampa/Clearwater. We were thinking of renting for a bit just for that reason as we have 2 kids under 12yrs and want a good neighborhood for them. I do have a business prospect lined up but I was also looking into a "conventional" job as well...just in case.
We are looking forward to live in the warm sunshine smile

Hahahahahaha

Yeah we got that in spades

I would suggest you look around 4th Street North and Gandy
There are a TON of apartments in that area
It's right at the end of the bridge, so it's close to Tampa with just a quick ride
Just a short ride to downtown St. Pete
Relatively safe
Not terribly expensive

From there you can figure out a permanent location

But I'm serious about the job deal
Moving here without a job could be catastrophic

For a nice family environment (schools, parks, safe), look to north Clearwater or Safety Harbor.  Purchasing a place in Pinellas County will cost a little more than the Tampa side because we've run out of land on the little peninsula.  I used to work in Tampa and heard more bad things about the schools there than in Pinellas County.  They drive worse in Hillsborough County, and the insurance rates reflect that.

What line of work are you into?  Thinking of a serious photography business?

Send me a note if you want more demographic information.

As for that warm sunshine - It gets nice about November.

Joey's back in town
Damn near killed me at the Chinee buffet last night

I was not doing well when we were done

But talk has begun about a meet and greet

Anyone have any input as to when would be a good weekend to have it?

Thinking Crabby Bills on a Saturday Relatively soon
