LOVE Art supply store brushes!! Have tons of them! Many of them are more durable than regular makeup brushes. (even high end)

I buy all of mine at Michaels or AC Moore. They seel them at all those places, though, plus on Amazon and Ebay.

In particular I love these:

http://www.hofcraft.com/loew-cornell-ma … ushes.html ALL of the Maxine's Mop brushes are GREAT dupes (or even better sometimes) than any white headed makeup brush.

In both of these last two series below, I buy the small brushes for all types of eyelining, liquid, applying pencil instead of right from the bullet, and for all types of lip products, and for spot concealing. Many of the makeup brush companies that sell retail to the consumer public, do not even make brushes this small, or if they do, they only have one shape to choose from. I tend to use many different lip brushes depending on what my models lips are like, or what effect I'm trying to get. Same thing with liquid liner. I never even reach for any of my "makeup line" brushes anymore for eyelining or lips, because these guys are all better.

As far as saving for high end lines of brushes, even though I have a few MAC brushes I love, I'd save for Trish McEvoy brushes(I wish I had more of these), Hakuhodo brushes, and MUFE brushes. These are different, and worth the extra money. I'm hearing really great things about the new Tom Ford brushes, too, though I haven't tried them yet.

If someone were to post saying they were selling brushes made by ThisBrushCompany that were Thatkindofhair.... but when you got them, they were in fact from SomeOtherBrushCompany or made from something else, etc... or if I were selling a computer, and told you it was in working condition, but it was broken when you got it, You could dispute the purchase with Amazon claiming the seller lied in their product description, and possibly get your money back.

Ah. Thanks for clarifying. I knew I was reading that wrong.

This is also a great suggestion. Paint brushes are made with the idea that they will spend half their life in a jar of water, and constantly being cleaned in mind. You wont experience too much separation from quality paint brushes unless youre dunking them in funky chemicals that eat the glue.
