Hi, I would need your opinions concerning the retouch of my portfolio. I am just an amateur and I would largely need to improve ! Thank you in advance for your answers ! Kurtzan Aug 12 12 06:38 am Link contact some local photographers that do the kind of work you like and ask them to be a mentor.. you might be sweeping the floor, running for coffee, painting the walls of the studio but you will also get to observe the work in progress and see how the photographer interacts with the models and clients.. this might sound old school but can you say apprenticeship? Aug 12 12 06:51 am Link My overall impression of most of your images is overblurred and oversaturated. I'd suggest calibrating your monitor first of all. Secondly learning some advanced skin retouching techniques (d&b, Inverted High pass, healing/cloning...) In a few of the images you have gotten rid of most of the shadows by simply blurring them out making them look very flat. There are a few really good DVDs out there if you are willing to spend the money. http://www.digitalphotoshopretouching.c … ials-dvd-2 http://www.digitalphotoshopretouching.c … ials-dvd-3 and to top it off http://www.grygarness.com/dvds/beauty-r … ng-dvd.htm All of them are really really good and teach you almost everything about reatouching.
