History has been made! As of November 7, 2012, thanks to the new Copyright Law, Canadian photographers now officially own the copyright to all of their work - even if the photograph is commissioned.

The Canadian Association of Professional Image Creators (CAPIC), a not-for-profit association dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the rights of photographers, illustrators and digital artists working in the communications industry, will share more information about the Copyright Law and its direct effects for Canadian photographers in the weeks to come. To learn more, please visit: http://bit.ly/Xn98Pz

Nikon Canada would like to congratulate the photography community on this excellent achievement!
