I definitely use primer after applying moisturizer. In my opinion, primers are some of the most important tools you can use. If the talent's skin is more on the oily side, I'll use my primer as a medium with the foundation. I understand not wanting to have so many layers, but a primer provides qualities a moisturizer can not.
