I think you've ended up with lesser images going with tone mapped files.
The sky is very nice in the bottom shot, and of course some things really
pop with extreme clarity, but overall these don't do much for me. For
examples of HDR of people done right, check some work of Joel Grimes
and Blair Bunting for Discovery.
