Hello I was wondering if anyone knows any sites like modelmayhem, specifically ones for casting calls in australia. There are a lot of modelling sites mentioned but not many of them have any Australian casting calls or very little

There are two surviving sites in Oz.

(a) Ausmodels - no casting calls, mainly a site for GWCs to hook up with models to do soft porn.  Not likely to do much for your image.

(b) Starnow - based in NZ but big in Oz.  Mainly for film and TV but has a proportion of photographic stuff.  Admin reads your emails and is fairly autocratic. Does not offer the networking opportunities that MM does, but models tend to be of higher calibre than MM (not that that sets the bar particularly high).  You need a paid subscription if you want to be able to respond to casting calls.

Starnow is great! They have a lot paid jobs and I booked through that site a lot when I was in Australia

A friend from OZ told me about starnow, I looked at it but you can't refine a search by distance and allot of the profiles don't give a town??

All you need to do, is avoid Aus Models like the plague. It's a train wreck

It's all pretty lackluster for us Aussies I'm afraid. Your best bet is to network like crazy in the regional FB groups.
