I think you are off to a great start solid models and locations you should make this your avi it is much stronger than the one you currently have IMHO other than that I am sure once you shoot more you would do well good luck

Thank you! I'm working on arranging some studio shoots.  I did have that as my avi, and someone else said I should change it this one. : )

I'll do a review for you if you'll return the favor smile  You don't have to go as in detail, I'm just bored right now haha

This is my favorite image; great light and crop and I love the colors.  Her expression is great and I love the vignette on the image.  I just really wish it was more in focus!

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130527/17/51a3f8fec334f_m.jpg
I really feel like this image was ruined by post work.  I don't really care for sephia tones as I feel it looks amateur, the image also looks blurred/soft focused which is another post technique that looks low end.  I feel like this image would be much better without the post or maybe some very minimal corrections.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130519/08/5198eed7ec3bf_m.jpg
This image is decent, the lighting is nice and I love the location, however I wish her face was relaxed and not smiling and that her chin was up instead of slumped over.  Also I don't normally mind some blur effects (tilt shift ect) but Im not sure if it works here.  The landscape is so pretty I wish it was clear.  OR if you do want a blur do it with the camera and shoot at an open aperture like 2.8 if you can get away with it.

thanks for the critique.
1. yes it's soft, but it's my favorite too. I'm working on getting better.

2. I did get the most votes for this, out of my shots, in Pick of the Day.  But I've uploaded one without post for you to see. let me know what you think.

3. I know a lot of photogs don't like smiles, I'm fine with it if it looks natural. Have a look at these other versions of this shot..

love it!

great! I don't normally like pinup photos, but the tats give it an edge.

This is really great, beautify eyes & lips, the right amount of head tilt. I think this could be cropped better, maybe crop into a 8x10 because I can see her wrist or something upper left.

good shot, too bad about her expression and head is tilted too far.

You have a great portfolio!

nailed the expression, it's too bad your hands in pockets.. and your outfit it out of place for the environment, maybe a leather jacket?

this collage looks odd, try single photos of the right and bottom shots.

I feel this shot is the strongest in your port:
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130519/08/5198ee76eabe5_m.jpg

But I'm not too keen of the ones with the girl in the orange dress in the water, she's lit so bright it's like she was copy pasted into the picture. Maybe tone down the harshness of the light a bit? It is a darkish sunset

Thanks again smile

sorry for skipping!

Try to find better photographers, that should make a huge difference in your portfolio. how much time do you spend look for a really good photog?

mostly I don't like this work, I know that's not too helpful.  I guess I'm not the best person to critique this.

keep these.

I think you can find TF photogs in your area, just look carefully at their work and pick someone good.
Then think of some ideas of shoots you would like to do to build your port, find some example photos of the type of shot you want. If you contact them with a plan, I think you will get a better response.
if you use the search option to find 3-5 TF photogs and send links, I can help you pick.

I think it's good to show your best work but also have a range of images. There are people posting a few really bad photos that ruin their whole portfolio and make them look unprofessional, this is what I set out to help with.
If you can, show the type of work you want to do more of, and/or make a list of the type of shots you want.

well, i think the images in my port represent an acceptable cross-section of my so-called work. i used 12 slots to get 60 images; there should be enough to please others as well as self. however, i see the majority of what i have as essentially disposable. there's nothing really to do with what i already have, except to replace with new.

simple. don't post redundant images: the same model, in same clothing, in same location.
