Retouching is dirty. Aug 02 13 10:51 am Link Ah ok, not just over all on the photo, and what do you mean by dirty? Aug 02 13 10:57 am Link I think you captured great color and detail in her eyes but overall the picture lacks any "pop" or depth. Aug 02 13 10:59 am Link Aug 02 13 11:01 am Link I like the second one much better. The things you've done to her hair really change the look. And the eyes!!! Superb. Aug 02 13 11:02 am Link Aug 02 13 11:03 am Link You have tiny hot spots in the eye brows and some on the forehead. There is a bit too much pink for my taste. Aug 02 13 11:20 am Link "portrait shoot".....the first image is pretty much ok except that on my monitor it looks too pink/red? also, looks like the model has her arms crossed tightly in front of her and it has created prominent bulges near the arm pits. maybe have them place their arms/hands in a different position or change the garment? I would say to try shooting with the models in fewer head on straight shots, use angles, etc., but when I look in my portfolio here, I have posted a lot of straight shots myself--oops! cheers! Aug 02 13 11:24 am Link Thank you for your comments, Aug 02 13 01:05 pm Link And also, by dirty? I didn't make the photo black and white so you wouldn't see this/// Aug 02 13 01:08 pm Link DragonStudiosUK wrote: And how do I seen this? It is obvious. I made it black and white so you can see. Aug 02 13 04:37 pm Link Tulack has heightened this, but it should become more apparent if you use adjustment layers, from levels to curves and b&w and d&b as your basics, to correct the issues that you see. I recommend a solar curve to help you judge, plus a combination of the above layers. Your hues/sat could also do with some refinement. Aug 02 13 05:08 pm Link Yes, this is first thing you do, before you start retouching. You increase contrast with adjustment layer to exaggerate problems. When it would look better in this state, than you turn your layer of... Ta daam Aug 02 13 05:17 pm Link I would like to see the original. Be careful with just removing stuff you can loose the shape of face and it never looks good, this aspect might take time to learn. So work with the vish layers to see for a bit turn it off and work like that also to see if you went too far so you can bring back if need be. I found that retouching with vish layers for me gave me false positive moves so now I do both. Also, zooming in for detail, zooming out for bigger patches. Trust your eyes and learn from high end fashion magazines if you want to get into it professionally. It will teach you about color and retouching meaning how much to retouch. Aug 02 13 05:38 pm Link I am so confused. I see the same image 3 times. Aug 02 13 06:31 pm Link |
