I'm bored. Comment here and I'll tell you what you need to remove out of your portfolio, what is your best and worst image, and any advice I think can help you get more work. Go. (Warning: I will be completely honest with you, but this is just my opinion, take it as you choose.)

I think you would excel most in commercial/lifestyle work, as well as child photography. This is simply adorable The surfer images are great, though the clouds look comped in? They almost take away from the model, and pull focus. This is my other favorite Great composition, toning, and setting. Though I don't know where this would fit in the professional world, it's my favorite "Artistic" shot I suggest doing some skin retouching tutorials. Your lighting and toning is nice in all of your images. Now just work on skin retouching, and creating dimension in facial features. Nothing else really impressed me, nothing was too horrible. Try to find better models, you actually have quite a bit of potential. Good Luck!

This is your best shot imho. Beautiful. Great retouching. This is what all your images should look like when finished. You excel at beauty work. Your themed shots are really cool as well. I would remove 1, 6, 13, 14, and possibly 16. 1 why is this a double? I'm confused. Her boobs are ridiculously large and you know thats probably the only reason people are looking at it. 6 I can't figure it out, it just doesn't work for some reason. 13 horrible.. worst one in there, at first I thought maybe you kept it around for racial variety but you have that headshot at the top. Get rid of this.. asap. 14 Eh.. same as 6. 16 All the texture is gone, lots of bluring, cool shot, but the retouching is ruining it.. maybe retouch it again from scratch.

Blimey Studios wrote: ...if you still have the time Your work is really beautiful. You obviously excel at boudoir. You could even do beauty, and portraiture if you desired. Even *tasteful* nudes. (I'm accentuating the tasteful here) Though I suppose you could shoot porn and do that well also. lol This is my favorite. It's so pretty. The retouching is well done. The hair, makeup, and lighting is all lovely. I would possibly crop above the armpit line.. too much negative space I think. The focus is her face and maybe the necklace.. no need for all that top body if there is no cleavage. Amazing. What a gorgeous model. You really brought out her beauty. I could fall in love with her just from that image. Perfection. Now for the not so good.. Get rid of this. It's blurry. I know you tried to save it, but just no, it's not worth it. The model is not the greatest, and the toning is a little too warm. If you're trying to bring out her hair color, mask that toning just to that area. Now she's too red skinned. The image is crisp, but if I didn't know better I wouldn't think so. Where did all her skin texture go? This is so amateur looking, worst shot you have. Are you sure you shot this? You are better then this. Next time I would have her lay on the bed so you don't get any of the outside of it. You should've seen all bed and her, none of that black space on the sides. It's the hair. It's killing this shot. Not your fault. The lighting however.. you needed a reflector or a bounce board on the right side. This isn't a horrible shot, but it's not helping either. Bad pose. Got to go. Great retouching here though. Nice and crisp, lots of texture. Barbie girl shots.. beautiful lighting. Her face has texture her chest does not. Consistency.. especially in the same shot is important. Half of your models are great, half are horrible. You could make a lot of money in boudoir though, you make women desirable in photos. Keep it up!

I just recently updated my makeshift portfolio that is waiting for some new images from recent shoots to come in, and would love to see if my changes made a difference. I'm just starting out, so I don't have many good images yet (most pics taken by amateur photographers for portrait advertisements), but I'd love to hear your opinion!

Fotografica Gregor wrote: why not ? Either you have multiple personality photographer disorder, or more then one person is shooting the shots in this portfolio. There are so many amazing shots. Another problem here is quantity over quality.. you have got to narrow this down, or make albums. It's extremely overwhelming the amount of shots you have on there. This is what a website is for. On your website you can overload it with images because it's usually scrollable and you see a couple at a time.. model mayhem should showcase your best 16 images.. (or 16 per type of photography separated into albums). Your main image, the avatar? Is probably the worst shot you have.. change it! I was afraid I was going to be giving a lot of bad feedback to you, then I saw your portfolio and was like aww he's actually pretty good! If I wasn''t directly talking to you like this I would've never ever clicked on your portfolio. Your teams are pretty awesome.. great hair in some of these, great makeup. Your concepts are cool. Some are a little tacky, but you do them well. lol You have some pretty good models throughout there. Your portfolio is extremely confusing me lol It really seems like 3 different photographers shot this stuff. The 2 middle shots on the top row.. the retouching is blah. The skin is all melted and blurry.. Texture is important. Maybe re-edit these? The makeup on the second one is not amazing. (wow, this whole set) Love all of these, and the ones similar to them. Great stuff. Why the hell aren't any of these your profile image? Blown out. Not in a good way. Cut it. Yeah I kind of hate this. I would cut it. I think it's the hair. What is she 4 years old? The hair killed it. Stunning model. Cool toning. But I hate this. I'm not sure why. Possibly the tacky skirt, and being topless? This would've been better with a pair of boyshorts or lace underwear or something. Out of the set of these, I'm shocked this is the one that has the least love. This is the one I liked the most. The one I hated has a ridiculous amount of love. Just move all of these concept things to their own album or something. Just no. Has to go. I think it's the hair.. and the pose. I don't understand why this has so many comments. This is horrible, in my opinion. The lighting is beautiful, the model is stunning. Her hair looks so bad. The skin on the face is so blurred. Maybe retouch it again? Either get rid of this set or I don't know use a different background? It's a cool concept but.. it's like there's too much going on or the colors are contrasting with the back drop? I can't pinpoint it.. but somethings not working. This is the set I thought looked a little tacky. (Though it is cool.. just something needs to be tweaked for it to work) Just cut it. Okay.. hopefully this is enough to give you a little idea of whats working and what's not.. I can't do anymore.. there's so many lol Your are good though, great lighting. Work on your skin retouching, and branding.

I wouldn't change a thing, great model, great makeup, the hair is good, the post work is fantastic, great lighting, etc, etc, etc. Shoot more stuff like this. This and your avatar are your best shots. Since you had so much I just scrolled and clicked on the eyesores. These are the images I think you should get rid of.. either the model is horrible, the post is horrible, it's tacky.. or some other random reason. (I also kind of think you should ditch the entire vintage - pinup album )

TDSImages wrote: Me next? Well.. where to begin. How to put this? I don't want to tell someone not to do something they love. According to your profile.. you aren't doing this or going to do this for a living. (Which means you don't really need a critique, but you asked so I'll give it to you) You have a lot of work to do. You need to research more, look through magazines, or portfolios of great photographers. This is beautiful, it's really great. It's the only thing I liked though. =/ Just keep shooting and working towards better images. So you can cycle out shots and replace them. If you want to make money.. maternity and probably boudoir would be your thing. In case you ever want to do that.

I'm just going to assume you never did much photo retouching. You should study up on that. Your male portraits are really great. That's what you do best in my opinion. I didn't love anything that much, or really hate anything that much. I've already forgotten everything in your portfolio (except your male portraits). I would get rid of the chantal album all together. Models, Lighting, Post-work. That's your goal. Work on those.. do some more male portraits too.

I'm not sure what you look like.. in some shots you look 12, some you look 22, some you look like a plus model, some you look normal. What do you look like?!?! As a model you shouldn't have any pictures a year old, or more. Unless you absolutely look the same. Which you don't. This is sooo beautiful. Did you pay to get these done? Best decision of your career, and good choice on photographer. So so so pretty. I almost wish I had been on the team! I love it. The two sky pictures are really nice too. Get rid of this. wtf. The top two rows are great (minus the one I showed you) Get rid of everything else. I have a couple more suggestions if you're serious about really making money. If you're interested message me and I will tell you.. but you need a thick skin to hear them cause they're going to be harsh.. but it will help. I want to see a recent digital though.. within the last week.. no angles, no filters.

Everything on the bottom 2 rows you should get rid of. These are all cool for your personal portfolio, but not your professional one. The second anyone sees feathers they usually run the other way. Your profile image is amazing and beautiful. I also love love love this. I would need to see more before I could tell you what to work on makeup wise.. but you look like you're really great.. you just need more good photographers and models. & stay away from the feathers and rhinestones. <3 (I'm moving to LA in July we should hang out. )
