Hello everyone. I have been into landscapes for a long time and now I'm trying portraits (in a more serious fashion that I have done it in the past). Although I enjoy it a lot I would like to have some constructive feedback. Thanks a lot. Jul 24 14 04:56 pm Link Hello fellow Torontonian. I think your work is pretty good. The big issue I have is with composition. Perhaps its a bit center weighted. Otherwise it seems you are off to a good start with your portraiture and your landscape background is certainly coming to your aid. Cheers! Jul 24 14 08:00 pm Link Parts of it good some parts not so good The bad: You have the horizon running through his head [better would be solid water with out the blown out sky] You have two catch lights in his eyes, most of us live on earth so we are use to seeing only the light of one sun [the fix Photoshop out small catch light] two catch lights in one eye make the viewer think they are out of focus. Lint on suit by models right armpit The good: Exposure of model is good, lots of detail in clothing and models face and hair Good connection with model and camera Good connection with camera, good background blur [My choice would have been vertical] [For me too much negative space photo left] Eyes not wide open Over all excellent capture [Wish eyes were in sharper focus] Great pose and location Wish face color matched upper arm color Chose pose location so we can see her feet [Twig photo left a bit of a bother] Great work, keep on shooting!
