Always wise to share what you can bring to the image equation NOT what you want from the image equation...

I want to move toward more editorial style shots.

Please keep in mind there is rarely if ever recompense for "Editorials" only fame... i.e. exposure which is fine for an newly emerging talent... Have collaborated with countless new faces who are so focused on achieving "their" agenda a.k.a. persona that they become a liability on set, meaning they are resistant to take direction... Which is critical if doing test collaboratives...

However if you are the client i.e. paying the photographer then the world is your oyster...

I am currently looking for clothing designers who are willing to send their products over to me, for me to model. Then for me to send back.

Allison wise to bond with Designers in your market, that said, you neglected one paramount item here...  edit this with the following "Then for me to send back after having each garment professionally cleaned

Willing to cut/ dye hair...

Do not go there... Your hair is your most important accessory in your wardrobe... Case in point, recently worked with a talent who was rejected by an agency on the merit of hair length alone... short hair cripples what a hair stylist can achieve and limits an AD to a much narrower scope of narratives... btw, wigs are not a viable alternative here for agency... Keep your shoulder length and allow it to grow down to your breast for the best chance of success in the industry...   Blonde works well... do not subject it to the harsh chemicals of coloring agents... don't take my word for this, ask a tenured hair stylist since they deal with damaged hair frequently...

You have a radiant smile... albeit the talent you have collaborated with thus far haven't done it justice in my humble estimation...

Have you considered picking up copies of VOGUE and studying the pose dynamics in the ads... (NOT the editorials) and practice them till you own them?  By this I mean you can do them with your eyes closed... A full length mirror is a model's best friend... Narcissism is a very good thing for modeling... learn to love your body in front of a mirror... modeling is silent acting... there is no difference except want of a script... thus you have to emote far more dynamically with your hands and facial expressions in order to to achieve an AD's narrative... I can tell immediately how tenured a talent is by the way they work their hands... study VOGUE, look at the hands... understand the various facial expressions and how they are used to convey a narrative and give it voice and meaning...

Allison, you have the physical attributes of a model... I encourage you to study your craft...

All the best on your journey...

Thomas has provided some excellent advice and I will expand on it by focusing on your desire to shoot more editorial concepts. You do have the physical attributes to go far, I especially like your wide eyes, now you want to WOW people with your portfolio. Time to get with a professional makeup artist and hair stylist, go into detail on how to style your hair a makeup for a strong natural look (contouring and highlighting) to make you stand apart from everyone else. Bring a MUAH on set and get with a fashion photographer. You'll probably need to provide your own wardrobe until your portfolio is strong enough to catch a designer's attention. Pick up magazines in the genre you wish to model and pay attention to what they're wearing and how their makeup and hair are styled. You don't want to mimic them exactly but use it as a foundation to build upon, you can also seek out a stylist and take them shopping with you.

Good luck!

I'm gong to focus on your portfolio:

#1 Good pose, good lighting, shows what a clothes designer and a model agency wants to see. Watch your arm position, you don't want to be flexing your muscles too much or pressing your upper arm against your torso, making it bigger. Your expression is a bit ticked off.

#2 Interesting pose. Shows off, even accentuates your height. The light is washing you out and making your eyeglasses very prominent. Your expression is a bit unhappy.

#3 Nice, warm smile, good long limb positions. watch the flexing of your tricep when you lean back - unweight the arm a bit. Problem with the light color -gold sunlight in rear, cool shadow in front.

#4 Interesting portrait good for photographer's portfolio - not yours. Green/blue color cast not flattering for you. You have reddish eyebrows and freckles. If you're actually a redhead, go for it.

#5 Not a good shot for you. Makes you look shorter and thicker. Dirty soles are a no-no. Very distracting background.

#6 Good shot. Would be better if your face was not over exposed. Cropping from the bottom to just over your right shoe and in from the sides will make you bigger in the picture and remove distractions on the sides and debris in the street. Great smile, good eye contact flattering pose.

#7 No. all around awkward

#8 No, this does nothing for you. Poor posture, glasses covering your face.

#9 You look like a model but the locale kills it.

#10 Much better locale, but you are a minor part of the picture, your face is obscured and your stance is awkward.

#11 Nice energy here, good smile, dynamic pose. Shot is a bit underexposed. If corrected in post, you and the dress would really pop.

#12 Good shot! excellent pose, attitude and style. A little more light on you and it would be perfect. That can still be achieved.

You've got a good body sense and great energy when it shows. You've got good proportions and a goal. Listen to the advice above mine, shoot with more photographers and aim high.

Good luck!

Best images are number 3 and 11, based on what you are doing.

The images like number 6, where the dress is obviously too long for you, don't work at all.

In number 5, you have been barefoot and the soles of your feet are dirty........you shouldn't be showing the soles.

The head shot where you have no neck or shoulders makes you look decapitated. You should replace that. You have to have a "base" to your images.

While it might be nice to have an image showing yourself on runway........those tend to always be somewhat candid, and they are seldom strong images. Don't overdo those.
