This is the last workshop of 2014! So Please join us for yet another amazing model line-up and special guest host, Niel Galen. Niel Galen is a six-time Emmy award winning lighting designer for his work on a myriad of broadcast television productions. A life long obsession with photography inspired Niel to take the skills learned in lighting for moving image media and translate that to fine art glamour and concept photography. Niel is sharing advanced lighting techniques for glamour and concept photography - conquering the fear of multiple lighting sources. Sometimes one light is enough to get your intention across, but often, especially in the genres of glamour and fine art concept photography, using multiple fixtures will help make your subject come alive in ways that a single lighting source can not. Niel will take you through a process to help your visions for rich snappy photographs come alive. Niel Galen will take workshop participants through two glamour lighting set ups using black and white backgrounds using multiple lighting sources to achieve highly polished looks. One set ups will use strobes, the other will use constant source lighting. As an added Bonus…Niel will be available to participants for their private one on one sessions to assist them in realizing their lighting visions. Cost: $25 per half hour session. The seminar will run an hour and a half this month, starting at 10:30… so don’t be late! It's an especially exciting event for us this month. Although Cat Ropo is 'new' to The Photocoop, she has been a favorite of ours for a long time, and we're very excited to have her join us at The Coop. Alongside Ropo, we also have yet another VIP model, Melanie. She just might be one of our all-time faves. And I guess this is the month for VIPs, because we have Penthouse sensation Zoe West also! And last but not least, we have newcomer Jessica, whom we're confident will fit in nicely amongst such a stellar line-up.

You will break into very small groups lead by a staff photographer and experience shooting in a variety of setups, including high-key, low-key, boudoir and more. You will also experience a variety of different lighting setups including natural light, studio strobes, and constant lights.

This workshop is geared toward everyone from the professional to the hobbyist. Technical guidance will be provided just bring your camera, external flash and plenty of memory cards.

The photo shoot starts at 12am and ends at 4pm. Cost for the seminar and open session is $200, with $20 deposit via PayPal upon RSVP. After the deposit, you owe $180 cash at the door. Afterwards, a meal will be provided, then 30-minute one-on-one sessions will be available thereafter. Unless otherwise posted, sessions will be $60 payable in cash at the event. One-on-one sessions are a great way to put together your own vision, lighting setup (using your own lights or ours.) It allows for the opportunity to shoot these amazing models without the expense of renting the studio and paying their minimum rates.
