I was scouted and went to an open call last Friday by a local agency. They said I'd hear a yes or no from them in a week but I haven't heard anything. Should I contact them just to see what's going on?

I''d give them a few more days and then I would contact them.

Agreed, wait at least another week. Sometimes (well, most) they''ll forget someone, not reach a quota or are behind schedule. It never hurts to call back after that. I have, and the response I got was phenomenal. My interest shown landed me a position.

As I am  a photographer, when I a make a casting, I know which model I will work with it can be few at the first meeting, than I get in touch the same day for a new appointment for a try out shooting and after that I tell the model I want work with and send also a note to the other ones. The model who have not be choosing, they receive a note the same day of the casting, of course a lot of agency don't take the time to do that, its sad and not polite to make waiting someone hope to be the one, regards, Roberto
