MUAs, what is your opinion on getting eyelash extensions? Are they worth it for models to get, compared to going through pairs of false lashes?

Photographers, can you tell a difference in photos between a model who has had extensions done and who has not, and is this in a good or a bad way?

Models, have you gotten or would you consider getting eyelash extensions? If you have, what has been your experience?

IMO they are not worth it. You need to go back every 2-3 weeks to get them filled, which can become expensive. You need to be sure whoever does them is very skilled and uses high quality lashes and safe, sanitary practices. I''ve heard horror stories of practitioners using hair extension glue - extremely dangerous! If the right false lashes suitable for the look are applied correctly, they should not be discernible from the model''s own lashes.
