I was just wondering, would a model with 1000 friends on mm experience more work requests than a model with 100 friends? I'm thinking of ways for getting myself better exposure.

I'd say that depends how selectively you have chosen who to accept and who to contact with a friends request!

If you contacted local photographers who shoot also men's wear and men in general and you have a thousand in your list... the chances might be higher than if the thousand friends represent thousand models, photographers, stylists, retouchers etc. that are world wide...

Friend lists mean nothing.

what matters is how aggressively you search for opportunities and pursue them.

They're your friend and they love your work until you ask them to pay for it...........

I think that might be an unrealistic expectation.
