I would like some input on my portfolio.  My style is what it is, but it's always nice to get another eye to see if maybe I could've done something differently to make a piece stand out.  Thank you all in advance.

Your portfolio as a whole is relatively poor.  Without addressing the "style", you have few images and of the ones you have, only one is of a large size (e.g. even when I open the others they are small and I have to squint).  This is usually done to maintain a decent look in poor quality photos; in other words, even bad photos look good when they are tiny.  Try to define what your style is, what you want to convey with your art, and what you want the viewer to get from looking at it.  Experiment with different styles and find on that you like and that achieves the above goals, then delete all your old photos and start again.  I am sorry if this is a bit harsh, but I am just being honest.  It is easy to take a photo (hell, a monkey good do it...literally) but it is hard to take a photo that captures what you intended to capture and conveys what you intended to convey.  Hope this helps.  Cheers.

If the shoes are the subject, then fix the scratches and Photoshop off the grass.
Composition
Crop halfway between the toes and bottom of the photo, then at the top where the yellow goes off to the side
Over all image lacks pop

This is the preverbal football pose “Hands in front”
Overall image seems dull, pose is static

Face is over exposed, are you using a calibrated monitor?
Having the eyes in focus will do a lot for a photo

Most photos seem to have issues with the eyes not being in focus, over all images lack pop, composition could also use some work.

I wish you well

"There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept." - Ansel Adams.  Except maybe a bad photo of a lovely model.

#1 Walking the line with her lower legs crossed? A face plant into the asphalt the making.  You're showing shoes. For walking, you needed to back up.

#2 The bride looks very small. Why are you so far away and at that angle? Were you not invited to be the photographer? Her pose is not flattering - actually, looking at it, it's your angle that's not flattering. She's looking at the photographer who has it right.

#3 You've made a lovely model look bad. The lighting is terrible, her legs are posed badly, she's wearing a black jacket in a low light (and blurry) photo. She's got a great face and smile but her face is badly overexposed.

#4 Dear Lord. You've made her cross-eyed (her right eye), removed her nose through overexposure and her legs look like bowling pins. And yet,her looks still come through.

#5 The lighting is terrible. You've made her bottom and thigh look huge, her right foot doesn't look like one due to the smearing of overexposure. She's a pretty girl but her face is almost obliterated due to the lighting. How not to shoot great legs and a great face. With proper lighting and a shift in pose this might have been a great shot.

You need to learn about lighting and posing. There are books and YouTube videos. I know that I have been harsh but bad photos are not a style. Learn the skills and then you can think about style.

You are at the beginning of your journey.  Keep learning and doing.

What they said above me.

But...OP...I look at it like this. You even graduated from some type of arts/photography school in 2005, and you been here on MM for a Year. And this is it?
