Question with portable reflectors
Does anyone have the Lastolite Uplite kit? Was thinking of purchasing it since I work alone, and while friends help me with holding a reflector, I constantly can't depend on someone to show up to all my shoots. Is the Lastolite Uplite worth it? Jun 21 15 11:14 am Link Jun 21 15 11:25 am Link I don't have one and no plans to get one. I am not a fan of up-the-nose reflector fill. Even with high sun lighting I like to have the reflector closer to the level of the model's face. I chose the Sunbounce Micro Mini on a stand. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/6 … e_Kit.html Jun 21 15 11:26 am Link Don't know anything about the product your asking about. I do use California Sunbounce when on location, all you need is their special grip links below: http://www.sunbounce.com/products/grip/ … enterprise https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P … E6186B9C8D Just like all reflectors once outside, you have a huge kite bouncing light. What I like about the Sunbounce over the others is the strong frame, it helps prevent sagging, the Sunbounce mini does a good job with 3/4 length pictures. Jun 21 15 11:33 am Link http://www.amazon.com/Lastolite-Uplite- … ite+uplite That is what I'm talking about. I mainly use reflectors for outside use. I have tried stands before, the slightest of wind just knocks them down. Jun 21 15 11:39 am Link Holy #$%^ that's expensive for a reflector. I just have a $10 attachment to a lightstand to hold up my 5-in 1 .. thing was like $25 . Wtf is with the name too.. "the joe mcnally reflector" haha, how ridiculous. I bet that's where the extra $150 goes - brand name recognition. God help me if I ever get that well known, I better get a lot of money to endorse a product like that I prefer assistants holding them, can angle the light better that way as it changes. But from the sound of it you just need a more sturdy reflector holder mount or some sand bags Jun 21 15 11:58 am Link |
