I was just sent the exact same email from a "Jonathan Mena" / "[email protected]" except for the name of the client being "Mrs Peyton Dylan".

I also got an email. Client here was; Mrs. Peyton Dylan. Rest of the email is similar to other posted here.

First:  Read this

Second:  How did they get your personal email?
If you have anything in your profile that allows people to contact you without going through the site services, then get rid of the information or be prepared to get swamped with scam offers.

Third:  If you were approached through the email messaging system provided by MM, go to the help section and follow the directions on how to report abusive emails.

Fourth:  Read the link listed above, again.

I would read that as a scammer that has 507 email addresses on this one particular list -- is spamming all of them and doesn't have his bulk mail program database set up properly.   You are # 6 on the list.



At some point in the scam as it typically proceeds they will send you a check for $1,000 plus the makeup artist fee or something similar and you will be expected to rush (courier) a cheque for that added portion to somewhere.  The cheque they sent you will bounce - takes about a week to be returned to your bank. The cheque you sent "somewhere" will clear from your account in about 3 days with the money never to be seen again.

Remember legitimate jobs pay you after the work is completed and don't ask you to cover other production expenses.

This looks like the crap emails you get from Craig's List...
