Wondering if there is any thing that exists that brings experienced models together with very new and interested model potential?  There are so many terms and in and outs that are very intimidating to the un-managed, inexperienced, and naive.  I greatly appreciate any direction or tips!

however, you must understand that a "model' may not be what you think it is. at 5 feet 2 inches, even ignoring the marketability issues, you are not going to be doing what you think you can do.

Spend some time studying the forums. 

Some of the topics will be of direct interest to you and you will also encounter a range of opinions.  Not all of the opinions will seem well-informed to you, but, apart from the trolls, they are real opinions held by real people who are representative of the people you will be dealing with and they will give you worthwhile insight into the modelling environment.
