Hey All,

Can anyone offer insight on how these images were lit? I'd like to learn this technique for having this dramatic light falloff where it's bright in the foreground and dark in the background.

Study the shadows.
And the highlights in the eye.

The above is a generic answer to understanding how any picture was lit.

And there are likely to be as many answers as the photographers who respond. Each will likely tell you how they would have gotten that style. There was a fair amount of post work to emphasize the lights and shadows.

John Fisher describes in some threads how he did this.
