Been looking for a good make-up artistry book to read but they're literally all for beginners and women who aren't make-up artists.. I know learning the basics from other make-up artist can be a good thing but honestly they're so basic.. So if any of you know any that are more advanced so creating fashion statements, more wow factor peices lol, please let me know! x

Have the Kevyn Aucoin ones, Bobbie Brown and Jemma Kid books. Most will start with basics and progress. Kevyn's "The Art of Makeup" is more of a showcase than instruction.

Crystal Wright's Hair Makeup & Fashion Styling Career Guide

Best book ever for professionals! It gives resources, talks abut resumes and ports. It's a little dated though, meaning it says you need a hard copy portfolio… however today, online portfolios are mostly preferred, however some people still like the hard copies.

It's not exactly how to do makeup etc… but more about the business side of things.

Also, Lisa Eldridge is coming out with a book about the history of makeup. Face Paint: The Story of Makeup
